Bhubaneswar, August 22, 2024: Just when the world came back to normalcy after the devastating wreckage caused by COVID-19, another deadly virus, Monkeypox (MPVX), emerges to threaten human beings. It has already been declared a global health emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO) twice.

IMGENEX India Pvt. Ltd. is excited to announce the release of its new research reagent specifically designed to enhance the study of MPVX. This includes indigenously developed high quality recombinant MPVX proteins that are important in monkeypox pathogenesis, such as L1R, A29, A33R, A35R and A44R. We have also developed monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies against the MPVX proteins which meet the highest standards of quality and performance. These reagents have been validated for detection of MPVX. IMGENEX India is now developing Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits using lateral flow assay (LFA) technology for detection of the virus in 15 minutes.

These reagents with high quality and specificity make it an invaluable tool for researchers across a range of disciplines including infectious biologists, vaccine developers and diagnostic kit manufacturers in carrying out research to combat this deadly disease.

The RAT/LFA kits will be manufactured and distributed by Samik Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd. (SamikDx).
